Just found this guy crawling on the glass in my fuge. It was moving pretty quick. I syphoned it out into a gladware container...

Looks like a bristleworm, but it has a pointy tail with a hair coming out of it, as well as a wierd head with some antennae. Moves a bit like a centipede....

Any ideas? I have it out of my tank now, but I'd guess it has friends.....

Wonder if it is this? This pic from reef sanctuary looks a lot like it, but mine was only an inch and a half.... he said it was a bobbit worm..

EDIT: After reading this thread, it was misidentified. Someone says it is a picture of a unicid, which is what I originally thought. I've found a few pics that look like what I have now. Just don't know if it is bad, or if there are more of them.... The ID correction on the reef sancuary thread was made by boomer.

I think its ID'd, but I'd love to learn more about it if anyone has knowledge. Right now its destined for the toilet I think.

My first thought was bristle worm. Of all the images I've seen of them, that's what yours looks like to me.

I have tons of bristle worms. This guy has a different head and butt though. Looks very similar, but there are distinct differences if I look at them side by side.

I think its bad and I'm lucky I saw the bugger on the glass and sucked it out before it hid.

Just read the Bobbit worm thread and watched the youtube video - gross! If what you caught is a baby bobbit, thank goodness you got it out in time! Good luck with the identification - I think the toilet is the best way to go with this guy. Better safe than sorry is my favorite motto with salt water tanks thus far :)
