Looks great!! That clown looks happy. I like the coraline growth you have on the rocks!! Now just wait until the RBTA finds it's "happy spot" and don't try to keep it from moving. It's useless...lol. I've found that when I attempt to "put" it where I want it, it moves. When I try to keep it from moving, they tend to wander even more...or worse, unattach totally and float around!! Way Bad!!

It is really cool. This fish almost died on me right after I got it. He was laying on the bottom of the QT tank, pumping his little gills like crazy. I thought he was a goner for sure. Ilham talked me through the hyposalinity treatment and he survived it. He ended up living 8 weeks in the QT as I took my time bringing the salinity back up to normal and I was hesitant to move him back into the big display tank, because he can't see. I figured he's starve. Then I thought of getting him his own private tank and BTA so other fish wouldn't eat all the food before he could find it. That is how the whole cube thing got started. He's my special-needs fish.

I do have to say that this anemone has faded a lot since it came out of Ben's tank. It was bright red in his tank and is not that color anymore. Is it my lighting that's the problem, and can I correct the problem with feeding/supplements?

I have a 150 watt 14K halide over a 20" tall cube (light is 6" above the water).

Well, he barely ever leaves the RBTA anymore. When I feed the tank he will sometimes leave, go sit on the bottom in the corner and hope that something floats his way. Frankly I'm surprised he's survived this long. Later I dropped a blob of frozen cyclopeeze directly on the RBTA and the clown seemed like he was eating that. Kind of the reverse of most clowns that feed their anemones.

well, mine fade as yours. but when i occasionally dose some trace elements it appeared to brighten the color just a bit.

could be lighting also i guess, as i'm only using 3 x 30W F/L for my 4' tank.

BTW what kinda lighting you're using ?

Aww, well maybe that's the way to go. Feed the anemone and the fish . Do you thaw the food? I've been feeding my anemone vitamin stuffed mysis at she seems to be liking it however I am going to get some silversides and cut them up as she is getting kinda big for just mysis. I thaw my mysis and spirolina brine shrimp then pour in a little RO/DI then drain them then add tank water and feed with a turkey baster. All my animals seem to love it that way. I haven tried cyclopeeze yet. Will have to investigate .

I have a 250 MH about 8 inches above my 40 gallon - And the color of my RBTA is about the same........ I would wander to guess its the light spectrum if anything...

i only found that trace elements do helps a little :razz:

i wonder does NO3 also cause it's color to fade
because my NO3 was at the high side, about ~100ppm
