I can not believe I overlooked this set up, Very nice Set up Jeff. What type of fans did you get and how many please? I am still wanting to learn which fans are the most quiet and efficient.
Thanks in Advance,
Ed

I have 1 of the 5 inch or 6 inch fans on either end blowing out I cant remember. Seem to be ok but if you sit and listen ya can hear em. At first I thought Oh man those are loud but maybe I just got used to em heheh.

Hey Jeff, nice Cal reactor! Well that cycle should be done here in a few weeks. What kind of fish are you planning on putting in there?

Here is an updated pic. Last weekend I pulled all the rock out scrubbed swished and scrubbed it re aquascaped opening up the center and less contact on the bottom of the tank thus creating more flow and less dead spots. Nitrites are gone and nitrates are now at about 10 so its time for another water change

Hope you like it

Jeff

Really looking awesome, I love the clean look, better than any substrate type I've ever seen, for a reef that is.

Well after a fight with NItrates and more nitrates I exchanged out 60 lbs or rock about a week ago and I am almost done with a cycle now. Patients got the best of me and 30 gallon water changes were hittin me hard with salt.

I bit the bullet and with some help from Eric at The shark reef I have 60 lbs of new rock with alot of coraline on it. Here is a pic of the new rock and aquascaping.

Jeff
