Hold on,,, thats amazing.... how did you do that... thats the exterior wall already but how were you able to put the tank there? is it ouside of your house with natural lighting on it? Or did you make a bumpout or maybe used the existing bumpout of the fireplace.

yea the built in was when we lived in oregon and it was all done by me. The opening above the fireplace was actually for a big screen tv but ours was too big to fit. the tank is vented through the ceiling and set on a light switch. tank had built in filters in teh back of teh tank. system tank. the wall its on is an outside wall so venting was perfect. the fireplace was a fully functioning gas fireplace. no heat issues either. wish we still had that house but up here.
tank was running the sunlight supply t-5 8 lamp set up on a pully system . no real modes done to the wall other that the vent and the trim and doors to match the rest of the house. tank is 158 gallons
i like your first tank pics they have a real nice charm to them as for the one above the fire place wow really cool was it fish only tank? looks like fake coral and plants
