hermit crab looking for new shell?

there is a white looking body with red legs and eyes roaming the tank...has my hermit crab grown and is looking for a larger shell?

Sounds kinda possible, but any chance to get a pic? Not sure how long they can live like that, but I guess others will chime in

Mine do that once in awhile, I dont know whats happening but I still have the same amount of crabs so I wouldnt worry about it IMO

Yeah looks like thats what its doing.

I have a dwarf hermit that holds it shell way up and extends its body and walks around my tank.

Kinda weird...
