this place came highly recommeded so i figured id lurk around for a bit and see whats happenin. ive been in saltwater for 4 years and had sickletts for a little over 20yrs. I just upgraded my tank from a 75 nondrilled to a 180rr stand /canopy. ill start a thread with the whole build ad stuff but heres a few pics. i have to mess with the white balance...sorry for the blue pics

Sounds like you started, the same way a lot of us do. It seems that most people, in the marine hobby, at one time or another, kept Cichlids...lol. I bred various species of South American, African River and Lake Malawi Cichlids, for many years!

Yep, I also did cichlids....after a while fish just aren't enough then it is time to go reef!

hey! whats crackin parrot! just got back from trying to find some fish stores down here in laurel, just outside of baltimore and struck out. i was hoping there would be at least 1 here in town but i gotta go a little further than i was hoping....no new fishy pics today...lol

Hey Twisted, :welcome: and you have definitely found the best Reefkeepers site around. I also started with basic FW about 40+ years ago then onto Chiclids both African and South American importing/breeding Discus, Apistogramma dwarf Chiclids and Lake Tanganyika. Reefing since '82 and have found/made many friends with active club members here. There is quite the wealth of knowledge here without the stuffiness or attitude of some otherwise great sites.
