Hi! i have been in this hobby for a year and learned a lot. I started with 30 gallon and upgraded my 72 gallon freshwater to saltwater. It was so beautiful but my set up was simple and I made a lot of mistake. all my zoas died off because of parasite and the tank get a lot of hair algea and red slime algea. So i got frustrated and broke down the tank after 6 months:cry:. I lost a lot of money for this tank. I think i need to start with small one first before i can go with bigger one. Now i was happy with my 24 jbj cube. all my corals is thriving in the system and i haven't got any algea outbreak.
unfortunately, due to new job i have to move to hawaii in couple months so i have to sell my system. I was so sad becaue i thought that i would never be able to keep a reef tank again because it would be getting more expensive for this hobby in hawaii:Cry:
luckily, my work place want to have a saltwater tank and they knew that i have an experience with saltwater so they asked me to set up for them a reef tank in the work place. So, i am so happy that i can enjoy and work at the same time:party:.

But i need you guy help me because they give me a buget up to $2000 for the set up. they want a reef system around 60 to 75 gallon. if anyone know who can custom make the whole system under $1000 please introduce them to me. I can find the used tank but i need someone can do the degisn system with overfolw box plumping and sump. anyone know any good deal for used reef tank please let me know. They want corner tank, and prefer acrylic with hood and stand. I found one really good deal but it is a glass it hard for shipping and drilling.

please, let me know if anyone interested in the project.
thank you

try to post some pics of my 72 gallon tank

Hello,

Your pictures look nice and your tank looked/look's healthy. As you already know there is a thousand way's to set up a reef and it's just the same with cost. You can spend alot of money or think out side the box and don't.
I have made some killer high flow sump's using heavy duty plastic storage bins from Home Depot, installing bulkheads, dividers, ect.... and they look good if done right with easy access.
You have some of the best DIY'ers i have seen here at RF go back and read diy threads and you will see how to build your office a nice system within budget.

Best of Luck!
