So...
I was pulling off from Wendy's drive through with my wife and Emily earlier tonight. Just when I got on the road heading back home, my wife says, "Oh my God!!! She's choking!"
I slammed brakes in the middle of traffic, jumped out of my car and started to un-buckle Emily from her car seat to see what was stuck in her throat. By the time I got her out of her car seat, she threw up everything. As my wife ran across the street to get napkins, I stood there with Emily all shooken up and she looked at me and said, "Thank you dada...It's alright now"
What's my point?? Incadents like these are sometimes a blessing as is puts life and things into perspective. Life is too short to worry about the simple things in life that honestly does not matter like algae boy who can't get through his thick head that he hasn't found the magic bullet to reefkeeping or numb scull who can't understand that you can't keep sps and clams in a 200 gal tank under a 20w desk lamp.
Someone cuts you off in traffic while you are in a rush to get to work and you want to give them the birdie, just stop and think for a second. That person may have just saved your life by delaying you just those 2 seconds.
You never know. I hope we all look at life for what it really is and not take for granted the things that really should matter like family, life long friends, and time which once lost, we could never get back. I figured I'd be the person I really am and leave you guys on a positive note because as some of you probably already figured out, this thread was very short lived for me. It has truely been a joy spending my time here at RF. I've learned a lot, made some really great friends (one of which I get to spend a day at Atlantis with next month with him and his wife) and I have no regrets whatsoever. Thanks again for being such a neat group of people
