Got some new corals and noticed this little slug riding around on my palys.... wanted a name and a good/bad info on him before he was granted entrance to the Aquarium.... thanks:

It's really hard to tell from that pic, but most "slugs" are bad. Chances are, it feeds on the particular coral that it came in on. Check any rock or coral that it came on for egg strands. If you see any, remove them with a soft toothbrush, in a bucket of tank water. PM LeslieH. She's the slug/worm GURU.

Looks like a stomatella. Harmless.

See if it has a very small shell

A "half shell" looking like a fingernail, would make it a Stomatella snail. Completely harmless and very beneficial to a reef tank.
