I have been thinking about lighting and what other people have there times on and off times

mine is
9:00 am actinics on
9:45 am 10ks on
8:45 pm 10ks off
9:30 pm actinics on
9:30 pm moons on
8:30 am moons off

please post your times

My first ever setup with seperate actinics and 10k's use to be:

Actinics on 11:00 am
10k's on 1:00 pm
10k's off 7:00 pm
Actinics off 9:00 pm

Now:

Window blinds open at 7:30 (LOL)
Halides on at 2:00pm
Halides off at 9:00pm

I love being able to see whats going on in my tank 24/7. Plus there is quite a bit of activity at night.

I hear of people running their atinics in morning until Halides come on, I am thinking a half hour. Then after halides are fully on maybe 45 minutes or half hour later Atinics come off.
Then again 45 minutes -half hour before halides shut off and running a half hour after halides are off. To simulate Sunrise and Sunset. I hope this makes sense.

I set mine up for a sunrise sunset sort of deal. Most sunrise sunsets happen in 30-45 mins so i set my actinics to go on and off 30mins before and after halides go on and off. I use to have it at an hour but i didn't like to look at just the actinics that long.

useing T5's here:
3 blueplus on at 11am
2 aquablues and a sun on at 1pm
2 aquas and the sun off at 9pm
3 blues off at 11pm

do change this up from time to time. usually get about 12 hours of blue/atinics and 8-10hours white "sun" lighting

I think we did this post far too many times....but....here goes again....

Actinic on 1 hour before Halide.
Halide comes on.
Then Actinic turns off 30 minutes later.
Then Actinic comes on again 30 minutes before Halide turns off.
Halide Turns off (9 hours later).
Then 30 minutes after Halide turns off, Actinic turns off ( on about 1 hour total).
