hob fuge plz help!!

ok guys so i am thinking about add a hob fuge to my 55gal. i donmt have tons of room to put a fuge down below my tank. so i found a i found a crp hob fuge that comes with the light and a protein skimmer. i was wondering if anyone has used this or if you guys have heard anything about them. thanks for any help

I would suggest trying to get 2 separate units. I don't have to maintain my hob fuge that much, just the occasional blow with the baster, but my skimmer has some gunky buildup sometimes that I have to try to scrub out. It would be a pain in the butt to have to unhook a fuge and skimmer combo.

What about next to your tank? I've seen people plumb in a second tank along side the main display to accomadate a nice sized refugium and you get the benifit of watching all the cool critters that start populating your fuge.

CPR HOB fuges are great!! I've run them on 3 tanks, in the past, and am still running them on 2 of our tanks. Get the largest that you can fit on the back of your tank!!

thx guys all great help. returnofsid did you have the one with the skimmer? or just the fuge i was just wondering how it worked if you did. and i never thought that it may b a pain to clean the skimmer if it is in the fuge! thanks guys.

All of my CPR Aquafuges were without skimmers.
