So after long thought ive decided on keeping my new 120 saltwater Insted of fresh but am wondering what setup direction to go. Pretty sure glass is not tempered so I could drill or I could just slap in some acrylic and make an internal overflow but just wanted to ask about pros and cons

Sorry my phone is acting up. I would suggest the sump. It really helps keep your dt clean. No heaters, you can get way better skimmers for a sump. Look through my thread and hopefully you find some helpful info.

The back may not be tempered, but I would double check if you plan on drilling through the bottom. So if you are making this you will have a few different options. I like the Peninsula style tanks. To where you have the overflows on one of the short sides and Have the long sides as viewable areas. Or you can go traditional and go along the back glass. Depending on your space and style. A 120 I believe is a 48x24 awesome footprint.

Yeah I like the shape of it. It's just like a bigger version of a 40 breeder tank. If I was to do an overflow I would definitely put it on one of the two by two sides but I really like the idea of hiding all the unatractive stuff in a sump under the stand would a 55 be big enough ?

Glass-holes.com is a good place to go for stuff. I got my bulkheads and drill bit. You can make your own overflow for like 10-15 bucks. Abs plastic is cheap. But that's what I used. If ur a diy person it's a fun thing to know u built it. I have my 180 set up too where it is viewable from both sides. It is kool. But make sure it's where you want it cause it's not moving after that.

If u build your own overflow. Use two gaskets one in the overflow and one out. Just some advice.
