i have a rose bulb anemone getting too close to my sps. what's a good way to remove or move the anemone to another location without taking the live rock out of water? removing the live rock in the water will make me aquascape again and im trying to avoid the 3 hour aquascaping fiasco.

I'd recommend moving the SPS instead. Much easier than trying to keep a RBTA where you want it. It'll go where it wants. Moving it somewhere else will be pretty ineffective as it'll just move again. It'll move to where it's happy.

I agree with Sid...You move the anemone, you can possibly end up injuring it and it will still move again to where it wants to in the tank. Good luck! :)

I have had success by placing a breakfast bowl or plate over the anemone blocking the light, when he made a move for a sunnier spot I was able to remove him. This requires you checking on him frequently as you need to catch him while in the process of moving. The anemone may choose to try and extend around the obstruction if it can.

I had to move a bunch of corals just for that reason.
My BTA move last week when I SLIGHTLY moved the rock he was on by 2"

Sometimes you can get them to move by holding a ice cube next to the edge of their foot.
It may take more than one ice cube.
Also if you use a small powerhead like a maxi-jet and aim the stream at the edge of their foot.
But like everyone has already said, if the anemone is happy where it's at,,, be happy with that and try and move other corals to accomadate it.

I have kept mine under controll by directing flow at them. If there creeping toward a coral aiming some flow at there edge will make them creep back.

Sometimes its easeir to just move the coral
