Do you perform maintenance to your Osmolator? I have one as well, and often wondered if I'd cause build-up on the pump so bad that it might stop working one day.

Yes Nikki about once a month I pull the pump, osmulator and all the tubing out and set it in a bucket with enough vinegar to keep the pump covered. I cock the eye in the sump a little sideways to fake it out and let it circulate the vinegar. After about 15-20 mins I replace the vinegar with ro/di water to flush it out. Then put everything back like it was. So far it's worked for me.

Nikki,

All pumps will crud up with kalk. Your set up is so nice and clean I'd get a small kalkreactor instead of the bucket method. If your using the WM stuff the results are much better in a reactor.

Don

:D Hey Don...I just so happened to get an awesome Kalk Reactor today (Thanks BigT!!!)! I'm so psyched to get it hooked up. I do use the WM kalk, so now I'm really looking forward to it all put together.

Thanks! Sounds like a really good maintenance schedule for it.
