So if you don't plan on getting corals it should work for you. It will just be used to illuminate the fish themselves. If you will be keeping coral down the road, it isn't a good choice IMO.

.5 watt led's are for fish viewing, you need full 3 watt for corals, much better lighting out there for the same money

Thanks guys for the input, guess i will be looking for 3+ watt LED lights.. anyone have any recommendations for around $150.


QUESTION@: Also i heard that when LED goes out you have to replace the entire unit and cant just replace the lights...is this true?
