How long does a batch of SW stay good?

Just wondering, if I mix up a fresh batch of SW right after my PWC and keep it on hand for emergencys for a couple of weeks in a trash can with heat and a powerhead will it still be just as good to use for my next PWC as if I had mixed it say 24h beforehand?

I am currently running two tanks, one of them being a QT and it requires me to have water on hand for changes as neccessary.

As long as it's in an uncontaminated container and no outside contaminates are introduced, it should stay good indefinitely. I currently have a garbage can of RO/DI water and if I had the room, I'd have a garbage can full of SW as well.

Just dont let no contaminents get in the water to cause some kind of cycle and you'll be good I think

I keep my ro/di water in a 40 gallon trash can next to a salt mix for emergencies in a 32 gallon trash can

For years and ive had no probs
