how often do you clean detritus from your sump?

Never it has its own CUC, and the fighting conks do a outstanding job with the rest. You have to put things cuc that can't really club the wall to get into the pumps

I found a gorilla crab while pulling the sand out of my tank last night. I'm thinking he would be a good candidate for a refugium/sump resident.

I deployed some and others volunteed (due to bad behavior in the display) but they'll clear a baffle but all my pumps are hight in my Refuguim so non of them get into the pump. But do to this I have a healthy growth of Coraline on the bottom of my Refuguim lol and it's so clean.

I clean it with every WC (2-3wks) i always clean the sump before I change the (water out of the sump) to get rid of all the nasties!

A shop vac makes quick work for this job. I try to do it once a month to get all the detritus out of the skimmer and return sections.

I do a water change every week 10% and alternate between the DT and the sump.
