How to frag encrusting montipora

Just wondering what would be the best method used to frag a softball size of encrusting monti.Will a hammer and chisel be good enough?? Any help is appreciated.:?:

Dremel from the back part or most war through, then split open the rest of the way with screwdriver or chisel

I was cleaning the bottom of a sea whip with an exacto knife and a piece flicked into my eye and was sore for for a week. I was making frags of it ..I always wear safety glasses now:doubt:
