wouldn't recommend it as the glass is too thin, but a diamond tip glass drill bit will do the job. use a lubricant to keep from overheating the glass

If you aren't comfortable drilling it yourself, you can take it to a glass shop and they'll drill it. They'll probably charge you somewhere between $20.00-$30.00.

If it is a walmart 10 gallon, they are tempered. I tried to take one apart and cut the peices, it shattered when cutting. HTH

A dremel with a diamond bit(7144 Diamond wheel point) is what I use to drill 20gal and smaller tanks. It does take a bit of time but it very easy.
