hitchhiker coral...I.D please
came in a liverock,it has a skeleton of a blasto merletti (i thought it was the first time i saw it) but has a plate...mouth is visible...
has tiny tentacles...the plate broke off the skeleton i thought its gonna die but it didnt...now it looks like some kind of a fungia...is it?

Yes. It is most likely a Fungia sp.

I would say thats the first purple fungia i've seen. nice find. definitly one of the good things about buying uncured live rock.

mouth is different though..i will take a closer pic of the mouth..i nearly sold the rock where its on though im glad i notice it..thought it was a mushroom but then has a skeleton,so i though its just a blasto..then when it got bigger and the way it eats im thinking it might be something else...and now its a bit bigger but still tiny i can see it look like a fungia.
