I got an internship at point defiance aquarium!

I havent been on here at all lately. It makes me sad that there are some 24000 posts since I was last one, but school has taken up most of my time lately. I blame Organic Chemistry mostly. I just got back from a trip to hawaii (Oahu) where I was studying gobies and shrimp symbiosis. Im about ready to graduate though, so I guess all is well.

Anyway, I have the best news, I interviewed on monday for the internship position at PD. Im going to start in a couple of weeks. Its your basic unpaid internship (free labor in exchange for experience). I get to do one project. It can be anything really, so long as it is something that benefits the aquarium. Interns in the past have done lots of things, like ID booklets for all the species, library research on a topic of interest, proposals for new exhibits, even artwork.
I dont know what Ill be choosing to do but I have about five different ideas for things.

Anyway, I imagine Ill be on here much more frequently for Job related things, especially now that Im done with school.

Congratulations on your internship and also nearing the end of your studies! By the time I finished up I was so burnt out and ready to get out into the world, but at the same time the classes were just starting to get interesting.

I still remember: to get my degree and graduate I needed at least a 2.0 in a computer class I was taking. Otherwise I would have to retake it or substitute another one. This was a class which totally sucked and I had put little effort into. By this time my attitude in college was poor, and I scraped through that class with barely a 2.0. I was so happy. Much drinking ensued.
