i was looking at LR on the internet today...i almost ordered some..i decided to go to one of my lfs's....what a good idea that was!!!!!!. he had some show size figi rock that some lady had given him when she took her tank down.....it was out back in the sun..it is still damp, but all white....that really doesn't matter to me though.. it will be purple and loaded with life in a few months..he gave it to me for $3lb and i got to hand pick .. he always sells his rock for$8lb..i caught him on a good day..he didn't have any room in his tanks for it....i will post some pics when i get home from the gym..

That's cool on the rocks! I always want nothing but huge pieces. Looks more real that way than tons of rocks stacked one on top of the other...Similar to the crap I had in my 90 gal(LOL) I'll keep an eye out for the pics later

My LFS sell LR for $8 also. Glad you found a deal. If it has been outside for a while I would put in in a tote or something for a while to make sure it is still cured.

woou dood ... i got mine way way cheap than that from a store pet store that was closind down for good.
I got to picked whatever rock i wanted, for cheap price and since it was in their display tank it was in good condition .

now that i look at them, i think i really only got 2 really good large pieces that would qualify..the rest are really nice, but not as large...i'm not sure if they qualify for "show pieces", but they have good shapes..i have been wanting some flat pieces for caves and now i got some really nice large flat pieces!!!! i put them in my sump that was empty and filled it with water....every single baffle that i siliconed in there is leaking:evil: :evil: :evil: ...i filled part of the tank with water and put the rock in

I would have but you have that floatation device up front right now. Did not think you could dive. Liverocks.com is where mine came from. I just had a large order so I gave them tank opening sizes and shape I wanted and they went out.
