There is a really cool thread on RC were i guy has a eating ribbon eel he made a PVC tunnel home for it and buried the pvc in the sand except for the entrance and exits and his eels just loved it.

In the wild they are found in burrows so i think it makes them feel more at home.
maybe less likly to try and escape.

I was thinking of setting up a pvc tunnel for him. I am just waiting to set up a larger tank. So far, he hasnt tried to escape.

I was looking at that thread over on RDO a long time ago. Sure does make a person appreciate a well kept eel. Congrats on the suscess so far.
