i have a small crack inside my tank

i have a 15 gallon eclipse that i just bought used from a freind it has a small 1-1/2 inch crack twards the top it does not go all the way through i marked it with a dry erase marker to keep track and see if it gets any bigger. i was wondering if i should be worried about this or not.

There are a couple options, neither of them good.

The crack could stay unchanged if tank not moved though unlikely.
Based on that assumption, could add some silicone and hope for best.

The other direction is to get a very very small diamond drill (as in tiny) and with ZERO pressure, drill a hole just beyond the crack keeping the drill bit lubricated with water and then fill it with cement when all dry.
