Ok here's the run down, I work in a very large pet store here in upstate NY and I manager the aquatics department. Now here's my problem, I deal with alot of people that don't know anything on FW or SW, and as hard as I try I can not educate everyone. People don not even know what a cycle is half the time and can't figure out why their tank is never staying alive.
I am trying to put together some reading materials that would explain what a cycle is how to cycle and why it is needed. This way when they look at me like I have three heads I have something they can read to explain it more clearly. I try to help as many people as I can but I can't help everyone and some of these kids I work with just don't know.
I need to gather articles about cycling FW and SW tanks to start then I will move on to other areas of the aquatics world.I'm hoping to have a whole informational packet I could just give to people to help them get started correctly.
Any information on cycling, i.e: what happens during a cycle, how long a cycle is and why it's need, would be great. One more thing I will put the Reef Frontiers web address on this packet also letting them know where the info was gathered.
Thank You,
