Ice cap wiring

I have a old style ice cap ballast. Two computer style plugs on each end. I believe that the one with 4 pins is the power in and then the other has many pins but only 2 go to light. If anyone has one of these ballasts can you check for me.

Thanks I looked. They only have the wiring diagarm. I need the pin out of the 16 pin plug on the end.

I am pretty sure the bottom left of the plug are power common and ground. t is the rectangle electronic old style ballast 250 MH

Emailed And found a photo.

So I can see The order is black green white for power and that is in one corner so i am almost there. someone has to have this ballast.

Ahhh I just looked at my IC ballast mines is the newer one I guess because I see no pin holes any where. I tried sorry.

Well just in case someone see this thread the solution is below.

IF you don't have a wiring harness get a old computer power supply. Cut off the plug section. Cut the plug section into 2 pieces one with 4 16 gauge wires and one with 2. (if all wires are 18 gauge then just cut off the last 4.) I did this to get the 16 guage wires for hookup with proper shape on plug end.


Any way the pins you need are 2 and 3 run to light and pin 9 is black 10 is green and 11 is white. (hook to thick gauge 3 prong outlet).

so problem is fixed for free not a 28 dollar wire harness :idea:
