I just bought a PFO HQI 250 watt MH mini pendent with a IceCap ballast. I also bought the PFO/IceCap MH converter plug. I am tring to wire it up, but where I want to put the ballast the wiring that comes with it is not long enough. The IceCap ballast says to use wire that is rated for 1.2kV min. I just went down to my local Lowes and all I saw was wire rated for 600V. Is this ok to use? The PFO/IceCap converter plug is only rated for 600V also. Is 600V rated wire ok? Is any one else using wire rated that low,or where can I find the right rated wiring.

thanks Mark

Can you get to a McLendons or Coast to Coast ?? these types of hardware stores should have what you need. The big hardware stores only seem to put fast moving items on thier shelves

For the most part electrical stuff has lots and lots of margin built in so most likely you could get away with it. However I wouldn't try it, that's how fires start.
