Sucks if there Majano. I think they look like some kind of bubble tip zoo.. :D
Did you have an anemone and polyp get together? J/K

No doubt about it, yes they are bad!!!!!!!!

I don't think it is a majano Adam, aren't they usually green???

Typically brown, they can color up to green with bright red/pink tips and often sold on ebay as "tulip anemones" The problem is they spread fast and sting other corals and zoas.

These look a little faded out, perhaps poor lighting? If not under-lit, then they are probably something else entirely

They are not mine they are another guys I just posted here to try and get an ID

Frag it Adam and say it is very rare and limited and only a few reefers has it and you slave over your tank all by your lonesome so you can fetch a $1500/frag price tag LMAO.

Hmmm I am plagued with Mejano anemones and those do not look like Mejanos. Is it possible that your friend possibly had an Alveopora and it just budded or tried to survive from a fragment of itself.

It wouldn't be an alveopora because those have 12 tentacles per polyp. Could be a gonipora, those have 24.

Peace,
Jesse

When I had majanos in my tank the spread out and walked alot. If they are stationary I would think they could posibly be Alveopora. but If they move I would say majano.

Hopfully there not the latter.

I still in all of my absence of wisdom believe that they are alveopora or even goniopora. Hrd to tell unless I could count the full sized polyp tentacles. Hmmm I do however wish that my majanos would walk right out my door.
