ID please!

Saw this crab for the first time today, don't even know how he got in there since I didn't add live rock. I did buy some wonder mud and live sand starter from Indo-Pacific Sea Farms. I just watched him snag a hermit crab and disappear under the rocks with him. Anyone know what he is? Not the best picture, he's white and kind of hairy.

His body is about an inch across.

Hairy, red eyes(night vision), and sharp claws r usual signs of a evil crabby.
Gorilla crab I think is common name.

yeah sounds like gorilla crab to me too. google it. It fits your description

Idk.I had to use tweezers when I found the holes.they lived in.

Got him. Used a glass with a frozen shrimp in it. Went right in and I pulled it out,

Glad you got him! I had one (which actually looked like a gorilla) that tore up some softies. Took me 2 days to get it out.
