Kim,
This place is very addictive. Its a good way to expand your Frag trading network. Its a good place to learn about new equipment and old. You can meet some really cool people all over the world that enjoy this hobby. You can see ways people compensated for problems dealing with issues and decide which idea is best for you. I have to admit this is the best darn(see the R) forum I have ever been in.
I am glad your here Kim,
Ed

Kim i am one of the really cool people you can meet that Ed was talkin about! Nice to meet you too!

I currently spend to much time on RC's DIY forum and I have been spending some time on Reeflover.com, so I don't have much time to spread out anymore.

Jiddy,

Very nice to meet you.

I am really looking forward to this event. Before the event we are going to go to portland to take our kids to the zoo and OMSI, any good fish stores we need to stop at? Right now are plans are to be in the tri cities friday afternoon so if you have good suggestions on what we need to see please let me know......

Kim

Almost forgot. I am going to try to bring some frags to swap if possible, but they are going to be in bags from Wednesday AM would anybody be willing to put them in there tank on friday to keep them healthy? Also any requests for corals from here? I will be bringing a few pieces of Idaho Grape, a Pink Rim Monti cap, an orange monti cap, and a few acros if anybody is interested in them.

Kim

Kim,
I would love to see some frags from Idaho. I can make room on bottom of my tank. I am sure someone would buy them from you or swap with you. I am located in Kennewick. Give me a call on my cell or home phone when you are close by..

Hi Kim,

I think we can help you out with the frags. Either myself, Ed or someone else from our club can meet you Wednesday on you trip to Portland and get the frag into a tank that day. We can meet you in the Hermiston / Umatilla area which would be on your route to Portland. Then when you arrive in the Tri-Cities on Friday we can do some trading :) All of the corals you mentioned would be greatly appreciated here (I know I'm game) and I'm sure we have some that will interest you.

If you have not yet seen the pictures of the nano tanks and the corals we have for the event, this thread has some pic's.

Rick,

That sounds great. I was worried about trying to keep the corals well during our travels. How far out of your way would it be to meet me? I don't want either of you to go through to much trouble for my frags.....

Kim

Pendleton is about 50 miles from Tri-Cities. I can make it there in about 45 minutes. So when you get close to Pendleton give me one of us a call. Both Rick and I and others would love some of the Idaho grape.

Kim,

I think that Umatilla would be a better option as it is closer to the Tri-Cities (35 miles) and still puts you in the same direction going towards Portland. Just give a call in time to meet you. I can give you a couple of locations that are easy to find.

Thanks,
Rick

Thank you very much guys. I guess I will have to make sure a bring quite a few Idaho Grape frags so we can spread them out........ Right now I am going to guess that I should be able to bring around 20 frags or so some of them will be pretty freshly glued but they will be healthy and should grow pretty quickly.

Got another question for you, is Cheato in demand in your area? I have quite a bit that I could bag up and bring if people are interested in it? Or some different types of calurpa? I only have a small amount of calurpa but I could put together some mix if you know of anybody that would be interested in it.

Kim

Kim,

Thanks for the offer. I think we are probably ok on the cheato and calurpa. I have two 40 gallon refugiums on my system, one is full of cheato and the other is full of sea grass. When local people have a need I have been able to keep them going.

The frags sound awesome!

Thanks
Rick

But you have Sea Grass...... What will it take to get a start of that from you????

Kim
