Ciao Anthony,
can you help me?
What is this invertebrate into Pachyclavularia colony? :(
Now, It's moving slowly on the rock substrate. It could be little anemone?
Many thanks.
Carlo.

ciao, mio amico :)

this cnidarian hitchhiker does appear to be a small pest anemone like the Stichodactylus tapetum sort that occurs with imports. They are relatively harmless but do burn back corals locally as you see. You may want to remove it by "skinning" under it with a sharp woodcarvers chisel (taking a sliver of rock from underneath it to remove it cleanly)

it would not necessarily kill it, and this may well be desirable to some other aquarists (just like the dwarf carpet anemones mentioned above). Thats why I think it is best to skin it off the rock with a chisel: you are sure to remove it the first time (no scraps left) and it will have a sliver of rock base to glue elsewhere and giveaway, trade or sell.
