I bought this from Denny's in Kirkland and was told it was a lobo...but looks like a purple/blue scoly to me? What do you think?

shapewise, it does look like a scoly. If it's a lobo, it's the most perfectly round one I've ever seen! :)

doesn't look like a lobo to me..lobos don't have a perfect circle like this one...

That's what I was thinking...it was in the $24.99 section and I HAD to have it! It doesn't send out feeders like my lobo does either...it just opens up a little hole and closes rather quick.

Because it is a Scolymia vitiensis....lol

just kidding, hope you don't mind :)

hard to tell from the pic but may as well be a head off of a branching lobo....

I have a branching lobo with 4 heads that I got at the same place, definitely not that. It feeds and looks totally different.

Clearly a scoly aka:donut coral.
They can color up to be very cool colors.
Feeding is desirable, relatively lower lighting is fine.

Thanks again for your wisdom, Mike! I've been feeding it mysis, and have it on the sand so it won't get too much light...definitely looks cooler under actinics than the halides! :)
