Hello, need a little help with a creature that has come along for the ride on some Aquacultured Gulf live rock. Sorry the picture is not the best....

It is about .5" in dia. The tenticals are between .125" and .25" long with a bulbus end circled by silver white striped. Over all color is a pink to marron. Hope this helps. Thanks Zach

Sorry, but I am 99.9% sure that is majano.
Take the rock out of the tank and pluck it off. most will be footed on the rock. Some will set their foot in a hole and you will want to cut that part of the rock out to get it out.
Normally they pop off rather easy. Zoas wont and zoas dont have a bubblous skirt.

Majano is what I was thinking also, but thought they were green also? It is the only one I have found. Hardy little sucker went through the curing of my live rock. That involved a massive ammonia and nitrate spikes.

They are very hardy.
They come in many different colors. Some are kinda pretty.

My eye site must be going bad. What's in the red box, to me, looks liked closed up Zoas. Now the item just above the red box, I agree looks like a Manjano..

I too am on the it's a Majano team.

You can always just watch it for a couple weeks and see what it develops into.

Population explosions usually take some time to get under way. If you see more of them in the near future though I would intervene.

Mmm better safe than sorry I suppose, never had majanos but they do look similar to closed zoas I'd just pluck em off to be sure though.

I had a bunch of majonos. Some were brown only, a few others had pinkish red mouths and brown skirts with green tips. My file fish wiped them out thank god. Not as bad as aptasia, but they will spread pretty quick. My philosophy, better safe than sorry.
