i don't think that they do it on a schedule...my sallylightfoot hasn't molted in about 2 months(i think..i may have missed it)..i normally see the molt after it is done...it had been a long while before that when it molted...maybe someone will know some specifics.

thanks. I have a emarld crab that looks like he's now big enough to be a threat to my smaller fish. I had a clown fish mysteriously disapear and a few days later I caught my crab eating a sixteen dollar meal but I don't know if he was scavaging or if he was preying?

my sallylight foot has taken care of 2 damsels before...i caught him taking a strike at my hippo one day, so i removed him and put him in another smaller tank

quick pH change will force a molt also. if a molt is forced, valuable vitamins and minerals are used to replenish the new layer. REEF-ON!
