With the change to Xenforo activity has picked up a little.

Any new thread, esp. sharing tanks/photos really helps right now.

I think with a little effort from a few we could attract some old members back and entice new members to join.

Hopefully.
I was hoping with Facebook cracking down on selling corals, people would maybe come here to post stuff, then maybe stay a while.

Please let people know that they can sell here. I hope they will come for that and stay, also.

I am seeing people who used to finding answers on forums being loyal to them, and people who grew up on social media for problems, comments , or other pretty loyal to that.
I've brought up RF and others to younger people in the hobby and them it's actually a great place and I usually get a blank stare or non committal remark.

There's a catch 22 here too.
No activity means no there is no instant gratification on opening the page. Other platforms give you that. People don't care what they see, they just care that is is new. Facebook thrives on this. They roll things in so that something new always appears, even if its an add or a suggestion.
Regardless, if people don't see activity, they don't come back.
Again though, fixing the email notifications would be a BIG start to that. There are people adding content now, and they will be easily lost if nothing drives them back to the site.

What email notification problems are happening?

The alerts can be set to send to email on your account or not to send. That setting is in the alert preferences.
Click on your name in the upper right and the User Control Panel shows. You can see the alert preferences shown there.

@Admin I guess I should point out that I was and am currently still am an admin on this site. (Not that it really matters, but...) My preferences are set correctly as I've walked many people through setting them myself. Not on the new format, but nothing has changed all that much.
I've mentioned twice now that they aren't working correctly because it has a pretty big influence on getting people to return.
They did work when the site first came back up, and then they stopped. In past years, it was a blacklisting issue at least once.
