Is Copper Safe, Safe?

Im not sure if I have ick yet. To me it seems like bumps. At first they were white little sand looking things. Then, one day, they were gone only to reappear a few days later. If this turns out to be ick, and I hope its not, is Copper Safe, safe to use. Would I have to treat my whole tank? I have fish and live rock. COuld I use one of these medications if it turns out to be ick?

coppersafe will kill all inverts in your tank and will ruin your live rock, its not a good idea to dose copper in your display tank, you really need a QT....

Get some pictures of your fish and maybe we can help with an ID...

DO NOT!! use copper in your main. If it is ich the best thing is to QT the fish/s and hypo.

hypo salinity is the best way to go in most cases!!!! did you ever end up setting up a qt tank???? you will need it regardless of which treatment you choose.....hypo is far less stressful to the fish than copper!!! if the spots left and returned several days later, i would guess ich is the culprit!!! pics will definately help!!

Hows it goin everyone. Im going to set up my QT tank this weekend. Im almost positive fy fish have ick. Lucky I only have two fish right now. What about my main tank? Wont it have ick floating around in there until I put my fish back? Im guessing I'll have to treat the main tank too right? Thanks for the help everyone? This is my first expereince with ick so Im very greatful for everyone's advise.

The tank will need to fallow for min 6 weeks. I prefer 8. Ich needs a host (fish) in order to survive. With the fish in QT the ich will not have a host and will die off. Here's a link to learn about ich.

that sums it up!!!!!....leave the display empty...don't use any of the same equipment or tools or anything in these 2 tanks!!!
