around there really
My baby naso tang recently passed while he was in hypo treatment cause I think I got the salinity level a lil too low. It may have been around 1.007 or 1.006 or so he was just kinds getting sicker and sicker. When I told my buddy at PA about the situation he said that alot of the baby naso tangs have been coming in lately and people have been saying that they are not having a very high survival rate so the fish I got may have been caught with cyanide or something which isn't good at all I know

Ill miss him though he was so awesome.

I want to raise the salinity level in the tank so I did that and a water change at the same time. The salinity level in the tank was 1.010 so I took out about 30% of the water and used ro/di water to fill it back up and then added salt directly to the tank. I was wondering since I did this will this cause my tank to cycle yet again or can I wait about a couple days and add fish

I hope I dont have to go through another cycle

just incase ill be a testing fool for the next couple days

Thanks guys

tough to say, but any drastic change in conditions could casue die-off which could result in a cycle....

Yeah my luck it probably will cycle again so I guess I gotta play the waiting game again

I was really wanting to get a fish immediately but I guess ill wait about a week hell ive waited about 2 months just to get my 125 started up because of some freaking leaks

Any way thanks for the response

And man I hope my dang tank dont cycle again

Now that is a hard question to answer, not sure if it will cycle or not. Humm! It might not If you kept it the same temp.

yeah its definetly the same temp but I was wondering if I start putting food in it when I get that new fish in there when it starts pooping and stuff I wonder if thats gonna cause a cycle??

I think I may feed the tank for about 5 business days ( LOL ) and if I dont see any param problems ill just proceed like normal

I wouldn't think I would cycle again seeing as if the water had been mixed out side of the tank in a separate toat and mixed for a while and I did a big water change uping the salinity level that probably wouldn't have been a prob I dont think

So I'm hoping me being impatient a just adding the salt directly to the tank won't make a bit of difference. I'm hoping...

I'm gonna try feeding the tank today and checking the param in a couple days
