Is this a red sponge growing ?

in my tank in the last 2 months i have noticed a red growth next to the hole in which my blenny lives it looks to me like a sponge growing but i have never had a sponge in this system, if it is not a type of sponge what would it be!
I will try to get a better photo, the size of it is a little bit bigger then a match stick.

ribbetribbet - its hard for me to tell from the pic. If it is a sponge, then it could simply be a hitchhiker on the liverock. How does it feel....hard, soft? It resembled a red foraminiferan to me, too. Cute blenny

I took a pic today but it's not much better then the first one, the rock that it is growing on is only been in the tank for about 6 months and i brouht it dry!
