looking for 72"

would like t5's not sure if i should do 150's or 250's

250's are gonna be a lot hotter.... i would really like to stay with 150's

anything that would need high light would stay closer to the top......

ideas......

72"

that would be nice i guess for the tank i have now...

But im looking for 72"

not sure, im might wait.....

but ill let you guys know....

IM pirtty set on the outter orbit 72" 3x150 HQi with 8 t5's

How are you going to fit that 72" fixture over a 30g?! :) Is something else in the works, maybe?

I have 150W bulbs over my tank, and it's 20" tall. I grow SPS all the way down into the sand bed. More light might be nice, but you could probably do more than you'd think with the 150s. Personally, I'd do the 250s, but I also live in CA, where we're paying $.36/KwH for electricity, so I might think hard about that here.

72x18x26 i beleave.

its rather deep.... so i know 250's would be best but theres a big price diffrence and thats gonna make a boat load more heat.....

Wow, 26" tall?! Those 150s will never reach effectively. But I also understand heat concerns.

yeah, that deep needs to have the 250's. and 3 of them. Just make sure that you get everything that you want or you won't be happy with it. such as actinics, moonlights, fans, anything else.

LOL

check the links....
