I know most dont like these fixtures, but i have purchased the 760W MH/PC fixture from them. So far no complaints. I had an earler model of the Pc and it seems this fixture is build much better. here is my question though. if i replace the 250W bulbs should i get a lower watt bulb? just not sure if the ballasts are putting out the full 250W. anybody know ?

also was wondering if anyone has bought or used their in sump skimmer?

Odyssea seems to fire XM bulbs pretty well. And as far as their skimmers go, they work really well but are built very cheap. No rough play or dropping allowed! If it breaks or cracks your pretty much screwed. I tried to fix one for Eric and the extruded tube is extra cheap and crappy. If your going to run it in sump a little drip or leak wouldn't hurt however.

can i run to hardware store and replace with parts from there? does not really matter to me as long as it will work better than my prisim. should i get one over rated for mytank?

Curious on the Odyssea light fixtures as well. Certainly priced the best. $250 for a 36" with MH, actinic and moon. Comparable Orbit or coralife is $420.

It would be nice to save the money if possible.

What parts? The ballasts really don't matter as long as they fit in the fixture. The rest of the parts would be pretty hard to find at a hardware store.
