They require a specialized tank and should not be kept in a box type aquarium. Once the start bumping into rocks and wall they are dead.

I don't know if it's the same as what you saw, but I've seen a handful of these "upside down" jellies in the shops lately. Neat looking indeed, but from what I've read, and as Don said, this is definately not an animal that is suited for our aquuariums. Unless yours is round.

Tank needs to be round with a circular flow pattern along with a specialized over flow. I have one about half built sitting on the back burner because of jelly availability. Where have you seen jelly fish??

Do you remember if it was box, moon or upsidedown? USD needs to much light for a jelly tank heat is a big issue without a chiller.

thatd be sweet to have a jellyfish

I think I'd get out of reefkeeping altogether if I could find a source for moon jellies. At $200 ea and only one shipment a year it would hard to find a good mating group.

LA fish guys has some interesting videos about a jelly tank that he set up. It was on the set of "the hills." The guy on there is kind of a weirdo, but its interesting. fwiw...

i saw that video, he look so pissed after all his shipments died lol. poor guy.
FYI someone on CL is/was selling a used round bubble fish tank for like $149-199?

Yeah i saw that tank too. Haven't seen it in a little while, but it did look a lot like the tank on lafishguys. That guy is such a weirdo, he reminds me of alton brown from the food network. i swear their brothers.

I find it sort of odd that most of the jelly sites are all linked together and resemble each other. There is so little valuable information. I keep hanging on to mine hoping someday there will be a decent supplier. USD jelly's can be kept in a empty tank with a very thin sand bed but usually end up in the pumps. The flow has to be so low in a regular tank that nutrients end up killing the jelly and the halides grow algae like crazy.

hey don i saw this one at Wildside in puyallup, it was an upside down one like the one on the link provided earlier didnt see a price just saw that it was already on hold lol. But it just was trying to push its little container down wards it looked cool but not really something i would want haha

i have seen upside down jellys kept in mangrove/brackish tanks that are squared didnt think they move around
i have shipped moon jellys and a brown jellys with a ring of quiet think tenticles the second would be my choice
