July Meeting

Hey June went well got a new Member - WELCOME TIM. Swapped out some frags as always. Gonna shoot for Steves place in July so either pm me or sryder here on reeffrontiers for directions and if anyone has day they can not attend just put up a post here or if you have a date suggestion. We are growing slowly but growing none the less. Hope to see you there!!!

July 15 is not good for me. I have an all day welding test.

Steve if you keep this date or pick another maybe we could post a thread out on the general pages and maybe catch more traffic?? Did you stop in at the sciota store yet?

16 is good for me. Got the skimmer project almost completed. Hope to have it running later today. Will post some pics. Sent out a email we will see what the response is.

Just talked to the guy in sciota. Says we could use his store as a meeting place if we wanted but best go look for yourselves. I kind of would like to keep the home meetings and maybe a few at a store location. He is getting fish on Monday so maybe check it out after that. Business Rt 209 sciota by the old mill pizzeria. So far the 16th seems good. Did not hear from Tim yet.

You should go see the store first. See if this will post - Skimmer pics running only in the test container Sedra 5000 could easily handle a sedra 9000. I have the output throttled back. Needs a little design fine tune but will put in tonight hopefully. Have another pic (dry) in my gallery. overall 42 inch tall or so

Right now I have a ball valve on the output for adjustment - have to order a gate valve -better control - Fry's plastics did not have one.
The pic is in the sump under the 30 breeder. It does produce dry foam. I can run it wetter but my catcher needs to be bigger - prolly put a drain on it but for now I just run dry. there are some small quirks but will settle them when I redesign the sump system. - BTW a friend from work offered up his salt items - yes I went before he could change his mind - not much, some rock bout 20 lbs (have the crew cleaning it up) - fish -> yellow tail damsel, blue damsel, yellow tang, some kind of angel and a blue umm well dragonette I can't think of the name right now - oh yeah Mandarin (sp.) and some shrooms and 5 turbos and a skilter. will see how they work. he sure was not taking care of the tank had the red slime all over. So far all transients look ok and seem to be eating. was worried bout the Mandarin but seems to have got his color back but time will tell. Tim may have a gun shoot or something on the 16 but is unsure bout if he can make it - says he has no frags till he sets up a grow out tank - his plate slid into his elephant ear says both took some damage but I think they can recover. If I block some time I will post some more pics for skimmerstein. How do ya do the thumbs in a post?? I haven't investigated it but did not cover in the how to section of this site. staying away from the fish stores this weekend - wellsy is doing well. maybe get some pics at night when it puts out the feeders and in the am when it is so damn big. well to me anyway. Boy real chaotic post - if I don't see ya before see ya the 16.

Well the meeting went good - got the baby bubble separated from mama just fine. Both came right out after surgery. Next month it will be living with me!! As for August we will start a post later this month. If anyone has days that are bad let us know. Prolly looking at Sat or Sun noonish. Gives people time to go to the LFS afterwords. After the meeting Steve and I went to Marine fish in Sciota. We will make up a flyer with some info for the club and post it there. The more people we can get interested just broaden knowledge and help in the local area. We are by no means experts and can use all the information and help we can get. Don't be shy come on out.

That would be great. I'm also planning a pilgrimage to thatfishplace down near Harrisburg. Have any of you been there? I hear that it's a great store all around.
