Could not having enough live rock cause bryosis or dino? I don't over feed and my water tests perfect. But I always end up with little outbreaks. Could me not having enough rock be the cause?

When you say your water tests perfect are you referring to your makeup water or the actual tank water because a tank that has algae in it could read un-detectable nitrates and even phosphates but doesn't mean it isn't present in your tank. It could just mean it is all bound up in the algae which is using it for it's growth. On the rock issue, it's really hard to say if a person has or doesn't have enough rock because it all depends of the quality of the rock being used. For example, you could have 2 tanks of equal size both of which has the same amount of liverock going by weight, but one could provide a lot more biological filtration than the other all depending on how porus and dense the rocks are so it is really hard to say. There could be a number of reasons why a tank has outbreaks of algae or dino's or whatever. Are you just experiencing dino's or other forms of algae? Also, give us a bit more info about your setup (ie livestock, sized tank, if you use ro/di water etc).

What size tank and how much rock do you have in it?
Like Krish said, it depends on the quality of the rock. Not just in form but age makes a huge difference also. Rock that has been moving around in the aquarium trade for a long time tends to build up phosphates and can be the main culprit of the algae problems.
We just need a bit more background on your aquarium and water parameters to help any.

I have a 36g with about 30-35lbs of rock.. It's all fiji very porous. My makeup water is great I have some bryosis I THINK it's more of a bluish color though.. I just get small outbreaks I just don't understand it. I'm going to have to start over soon anyways but I just don't understand why it's coming back. I feed small and little to none of the food gets into the sand or anything.

I use ro/di 6stage just replaced the filters and DI resin.

you most likely are not skimming/filtering/water changing enough so that any excess nutrients are taking advantage of the scenario..
do you have alot of detritus in your system??
if you were to turkey baster on/under your rocks would a bunch of detritus be flying around??
also, not enough flow tends to lend to algae/detritus build-up.

Well, I do a 20% everyweek.. maybe I'm not skimming well enough.. Detrius for sure and.. I have a vortech mp10es and 2x 240 old koralia nanos. I figured I'd have enough flow.

How do you perform your water changes? Do you just remove 20% and replace it or are you sucking out detritus with it? Instead of stirring up the detritus in the tank with a turkey baster start vacuuming off the rocks with your hose during this time. You can also put a filter sock in the sump, and vacuum your rocks and sand bed off in to this sock. You can do this all day long and not loose water.
Then remove the sock when done and clean appropriately.
What type of skimmer are you running and why is it not skimming enough?

I have the swc bh-100, I seems like it's skimming enough to me pretty dark. I do vacuum the sand and such when I do waterchanges. So I really don't understand it.

I remove the 20% and add 20% slowly with a smaller hose.. Tank doesn't have a sump. My next build that I transfer this one into will though.
