I just started 55 gallon F.O.W.L.R thats finished cycling.I added 2 Ocellaris clowns/ 2-yellow tail Damsels to get started. It's been 2 weeks and they are doing fine.I added 2 abalone snails/20 magarita snails 35 dwarf reef hermits/
10 scarlet hermits. Its been 3 days and noticed 2 very small crabs died and were out of their shells.I know inverts are more susceptible to water quality. Are my parameters ok spc gvy 1.024/78degs/14 dkh/460 ppm calcium/
ph 8.3/amm 0/nitrite 0/nitrate almost non detected.Or is just nature and only the strong survive. Thanks in advance!

Welcome to RF Jpadman! Your water quality parameters look pretty good to me, but then again, I'm not the smartest(LOL :)) I'm not sure about the hermits you have, but quite a bit of hermits will kill one another in order to get ther shell as they grow which could possibly have happened. Also, like you said, it may just be one of those things like "only the strong survive". I guess we'll see what kind of feedback you get from the others. Welcome again:)
