My tank has been up for over 3 years and I am still finding 'new' things. This one was a big surprise. Can someone ID this guy?

Is it soft or does it have a hard shell.
My work computer resolution is pretty dark. I cant get a good look at it. Really interested in what it is. Sea slug of some kind???

Would love to see more pics of your tank!

Is it covered with a hard shell completely, or partially or not at all? Full shell = chiton, partial shell = stomatella. No shell = could be anything hehe.

I'll try to get more pics if I see him again. It does look like it has a soft shell straight down the middle.

+1 on Chiton, and one of things that make this hobby so interesting is always discovering new organisms in our systems.

Cheers, Todd

i thought chitons had plate like shells with individual plates...sry dont know scientific term. how big is it? Looks kinda like a stomelia snail i guess.
