Just go my TUNZE WAVEMAKER any hints on getting it to the right spot

Ok I just got my wave maker about 3 days ago and i haven't had a lot of time to play around with it but I haven't been able to get a wave bigger than 3/4 of an inch. A little back ground on the tank. It is a 120 gal tank that is 4'x2'x2'. I am currantly curring my rock in it and trying to be patient. Any help would be highly appreciated.
