Welcome !

Well Hello,

Where are you from and what kind/size tank do you have if any?

:)

Paul

I live in suffolk, East of england. I've had and aquamedic (anthias 120) for the last 9 months which is a 550 litre tank (including sump). It's got a aquasunlight lamp, 2 x 25o watt halides and 2 x 54 watt actinics. I'm running a turbofloter 1000 sl skimmer, canister filter holding carbon, phosgaurd and seagel. Also have about 60 kg of live rock inside the tank.
The reason i'm joined the forum apart from learning as much as i can is that i'm having a realy bad case of brown algae and all my LFS are giving me completly different answers. i'm just wondering if any one can point me in the right dirrection.

water parameters
nitrate 0, phosphate 0.15, carbanate hardness 10dkh, magnisium 1200, calcium 430, ph 8.2, silicate 0, salinity 1.025/6, tempreture 27/28....

I've had the problem since i first set the tank up and hasn't got any better since.

What brand test did you use to get the .15 reading on PO4?

All the test kits i use are salifert. I get all my r/o and ready mixed salt water from my LFS. but saying that when i tested the last batch of r/o it read nitrate 15ppm and phosphate .15ppm... Because of this i'm now looking into bying my own r/o unit for fresh water and mixing the salt my self.
