k3 with difernt flow

i have recently bought 2 k3. 1 one the k3 have a tiny little prop. other has larger prop......the one with the larger prop seems alot more powerful(almost more then my new 1400gph) is there upgrades ir better props you can buy? please help looking to get same flow from both?

I think you got scammed...lol. All K3s should come with the same sized prop, unless one has been modded. The Sureflow Maxijet Mod kits will work on a K3 or K4.

Hey, hey, no scamming...Actually i totally forgot about that it's been so long since i used them in the same tank just grab one and mix salt here and there, but i bought them off e-bay and was never sure if one was stronger than it should be or if one of them was weaker?? Man i wish i had thought of that to show u first.

I just got one like this too.
Mine has a sureflo mod prop and magnet in it.
A little rough on start up but good flow

yea adam that is what it is i checked it out and the mod for th mj works on k3. i put that one up to my 1440 evo hydor and the k3 is alot stronger awesome buy thanks for them just need to mod other one.

while looking for info on the flow mod came across a awsome little thing(best thing since sliced bread) if you disassemble the mounting unit(ball and socket) then put a nocth in the socket so you get more articulation......i can now put powerheads on back wall and they basically disappear

One is old design one is new design. Koralia discontinued making the old design last november / december. There are still some of the old ones out there and that is why they are different. Koralia did not update their boxes with the new design until March / April I believe.

are you sure about that this bad boy is almost double the power of my 1400 gph and i got 3 others im messing with (differnt ages) and they all are differnt

If it's a large prop, it's probably been modded with the Sureflow Mod. Sureflow Mods come with 2 props, white and black. I'm not sure what the increase is, on a Koralia, but on a MJ1200, white prop will give you 1600 gph and black prop will give you 2200.
