With around four gallons per day of evaporation, I'm finding I have to reload my kalk reactor every 10 days or so. This is a pain. I already have a calcium reactor set up but the kalk really helps keep my pH up (have had problems with this).

Can anyone suggest something I could rig up where I could keep a lot more kalk in a reservoir than what I can in my puny little reactor? I know it's important not to expose the mixture to air, so I'm thinking of something like a sealed plastic tub where I could just dump a jar of Mrs Wages in there every two weeks.

What do the rest of you use?

I think your on the right track. Alot of folks just use a trash can with a lid. Throw in kalk and a power head on a timer for mixing. Have your ato pump right out of the can. Just check the ph every now and again to see if it needs more kalk. Keep the can full with a kent float valve.
