Yes, I really like the output. Im still undecided if I want the hybrid more or the 20K more. The 20k, is really white with tint of blue, and its more bluer than the hybrid. So maybe the hybrid is 14k? and then the 20k is 20k....

Here is a pic of it... I think this is about right...

Ok Plumbing is my weak point in this hobby. So on your overflow why all the twists and turns? I'm sure it's simple but I get lost on it all. I just have an eshopps overflow with a straight line to the sump/ refugium. And still have some troubles lol.

Sweet lighting setup though and your RBTA's are gonna love that setup.

Looks good man. I think theres an over population of RBTA's in that tank and one should come live at my place....LOL But if you ever start selling them I'd like to get one....my snowflake hosts in a bunch of palys. But the light color is nice, How many of those LEDs would it take to light my 100 gal tank.

Nemcrazye, sorry for the delay answer. The twist and turn is to make sure that there is always water inside the pipe. Its like your regular "P" trap under your sink, or your "S" trap on your water closet (toilet). No matter what kind flush you do, it will always have a standing water in the bowl. This is the same concept. Here is a quick google of "MAME" overflow.

Mine is almost the same but with a twist... I made the plumbing inside the tank more simpler and deeper. I went this way because its cheaper to make them. Maybe in the future, I will drill this tank, but for now I will keep using this overflow.

What kind of issues are you having with your overflow if I may ask?

I was at TapPlastic Bellevue the other weekend, for the first time. My oh my, I was like a kid in a candy store? Thats an amazing store to have access to. Think about all those plastic projects you can do...

And I saw this, and thought, is it possible to use this as optics for my LEDs? for less than 50 cents each? why not try it and see....

It might work.... Here it is attached and glued...

Well it worked.... It narrowed down the beam from almost 180 degrees down to maybe less than 90 degrees. Not sure, but at least it does not have that much waste of lights on the side.

Btw, that is 3 x 10 watt LED 20k temp.

Thanks katchupoy! That makes sense. The problem I have is my j tube slows to a trickle over time and I have to restart it. Which gets old. And am looking to change it up.

Just a simple update on this 30g cube tank.

Still using the 6x10 watt China made LEDs. And i still need to bring these lights to OBD so I can check how much PAR it creates.

Thats all, thank you for looking.
